The two boys

An old Arabian story tells us of two boys - one rich and the other poor - returning from the market. The rich boy was carrying honey-coated biscuits and the poor boy a chunk of old bread.
     - I'll let you eat my biscuits if you act the dog for me - said the rich boy.
The poor boy accepted and on all fours on the sidewalk began to eat the rich boy's delicacies.
Wise man Fath, who was watching the scene, commented:
     - If that poor boy had a little dignity, he would find a way to earn money. But he prefers to become the rich boy's dog to eat his biscuits. Tomorrow, when he grows up, he will do the same for some job with the government and I wouldn't put it past him to betray his country for a bag of gold.
